Vivo Y3 & Y5 Mid-Range Smartphones to be Launched Later this Month

Recently we have seen Vivo launching its Y91i in India for Rs. 7,990 and now the company is going to announce two midrange devices in the country called Vivo Y3 and Vivo Y5. Although the Vivo has not revealed the pricing or specs of the devices yet, it is expected that Vivo Y3 will be priced around Rs 10,000-Rs 15,000, while the Vivo Y5 could be priced around Rs 15,000-Rs 20,000.

One of the Y3 or Y5 smartphones are said to be coming with a triple camera setup and looking like the bigger Y5 might feature it. According to few rumors, Vivo is planning to launch these devices around the IPL 2019 season and we should be getting more details on the same in the coming days. The recently launched Y91i comes with a big 6.22-inch HD+ (1520 x 720 pixels) resolutions along with 19:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D curved glass display on top.

The Vivo Y91i comes with a single 13MP camera on the rear with LED flash and f/2.2 aperture size and for selfies, there is an 8MP camera with f/1.8 aperture size. Under the hood, there is a MediaTek Helio P22 SoC with eight cores coupled with a low 2GB of RAM and IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. Out of the box, the device will be featuring Android 8.1 Oreo Operating system based on Funtouch OS 4.0.

The Vivo Y91i is available in Fusion Black, Sunset Red, and Ocean Blue color option and it will come in two different storage option. The 16GB storage variants are priced at Rs. 7,990 while the bigger 32GB variant is priced at Rs. 8,490. It will be interesting to see the specification of these handsets when they are launch and expected to be aggressively priced and compete in the midrange segment.
