Vivo has quietly launched the updated version of Vivo X21 called – the Vivo X21s in China. The new smartphone brings a bigger battery and a better camera compared to the Vivo X21.
In the past, Vivo has introduced the Vivo X21, which was one of the world’s first smartphone to feature an in-display scanner along with a notched display. In comparison, the Vivo X21s specs look very much identical to the Vivo X21. The primary differences on the new X21s are a new dew drop notch display, a bigger battery, and an upgraded front camera sensor.
Firstly, the Vivo X21s features a 6.41-inch FHD+ notch display (2340×1080 resolution), which is an increase from the X21 that featured a 6.28-inch HD+ display.
Digging in the specifications, the Vivo X21s is powered by an older Snapdragon 660 SoC paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. As for the cameras, the Vivo X21s features a dual camera setup on the rear – 12MP+5MP (f/1.8 and f/2.4 apertures). These are similar to the X21 however, the front camera is bumped up to a 24MP camera sensor from a 12MP sensor.
The other key difference is the battery while a 3200mAh battery fueled the X21, the X21s is kept alive by a 3400mAh battery, which is a minor bump.
As for the pricing, the Vivo X21s is priced at CNY 2498 (approximately Rs 26,000). The X21s has only one variant 6GB+128GB and comes in Starry Night Black color variant.
