Vivo V9 Pro with Snapdragon 660 & 6GB RAM Launched for Rs 17,990
Earlier this week, Vivo launched the Vivo V11 smartphone with Helio P60 SoC and 6GB RAM for Rs 22,990. Today, the company launched a new smartphone called Vivo V9 Pro in India. The Vivo V9 Pro is the same Vivo V9 6GB which was launched in June in Indonesia. On the design front, the Vivo V9 Pro looks exactly similar to the Vivo V9. However, the Vivo V9 Pro packs better hardware and is priced at Rs 17,990.
With that aggressive price tag, the Vivo V9 Pro will be competing with the Xiaomi Mi A2 and Realme 2 Pro smartphones. It comes with the glossy finish plastic body with curved edges. It sports a 6.3-inch Full View IPS display with Full HD+ (2280 x 1080 pixels) resolution and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. With the notch display, the device will be offering 90% screen-to-body ratio.
Under the hood, the device will come powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Mobile Platform coupled with Kryo 260 CPU and Adreno 512 GPU. Compared to the Snapdragon 626-powered Vivo V9, the new Vivo V9 Pro certainly offers best in class specifications. Even the Vivo V11 Pro priced at Rs 25,990 is also powered by the same Snapdragon 660 chipset. There is 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage that can be expandable up to 256GB using the dedicated MicroSD card slot.
It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with Funtouch OS 4.0 on top. The triple card slot also offers dual SIM dual standby support. Talking about the cameras, the Vivo V9 Pro sports 13MP + 2MP dual rear cameras with f/2.2 aperture and a 16MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. The device sports rear-facing fingerprint sensor and also comes with face unlock support. It is backed by a 3,260mAh battery and comes with a 5V/2A (10W) power adapter.
Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB OTG, 3.5mm audio jack, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. It measures 154.81 x 75.03 x 7.89 mm and weighs 150 grams. The device will be available in Black and Nebula Purple color options. It is currently sold exclusively via Amazon India. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
