Vivo V3 & V3 Max with 13MP PDAF Camera & Snapdragon SoC Launched

Vivo is the second handset manufacturer that has announced their handset today in India. The Chinese mobile maker has launched their new handsets, V3 and V3 Max at the event hosted in Mumbai. The device offers premium build quality and sports fingerprint sensor on the rear side. Earlier it was thought that company’s X6 & X6 Plus that was launched in China last year would be named as V3 & V3 Max in India.
But that is not the case here. Priced respectively Rs 17, 980 and Rs 23,980. Company has announced Ranveer Singh, the Bollywood Actor has their brand Ambassador, who would be promoting their handsets from now onwards. The actor would be featured in company’s latest advertisements that would be showcased during the IPL 2016 matches.
Both of these handsets packs 13-megapixel image sensor on the rear side, where PDAF (Phase Detection Autofocus) Technology would be assisting in faster focusing of objects. The selfie camera is of 8-megapixel resolution on both the handsets. While talking about what processor on these handsets, well, they are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chipsets. As the company has been touting about the performance of devices with hashtag “FasterThanFaster”, you can expect good performance. They run on company’s custom interface named Funtouch OS 2.5, which is based on the Android Lollipop 5.1
The V3 Max comes with a 5.5-inch full HD display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass and metal body. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 652 chipset that was seen on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and we all know how powerful it is. It is supported by a 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via microSD card sup to 128GB. All this is powered by a 3000mAh capacity battery. This handset boasts a dual fast charging engine, which is adopted by Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 2.0 standard.
The V3 comes with 5-inch 720 display, which makes it the little sibling. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 616 Processor, it’s an Octa-core chipset by Qualcomm. Supported by a 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB via microD card slot. All this is powered by a 2550mAh capacity battery. The dual fast charging is not available for this handset unlike the V3 Max.
Expect these handsets to be available for purchase with company’s 10,000 plus retailers all over the country, which is huge number. Its retailers are present in almost 400 cities in 22 states. Meanwhile, the company also announced that they are dedicated to the “Make in India” with their assembly unit in Greater Noida being first step towards that commitment. Though, these two handsets; V3 and V3 Max would be Made in India is unclear.
