Vivo has started sending out media invites for a launch event on February 20 in India and confirms that it will be unleashing something new. According to the previous leaks, Vivo India was expected to launch Vivo V15 Pro by the end of February. So considering this, Vivo could launch its new upcoming V15 series and showcase Vivo V15 and Vivo V15 Pro in India.
Vivo NEX was the first pop camera smartphone from Vivo and the device has been discontinued recently citing towards an upcoming device with the pop-up camera. The invite also clearly indicates the launch of a pop-up front camera phone and Vivo 15 series could be a cheaper alternative for Vivo NEX. Moreover, the device will also be coming with a notch-less AMOLED screen.
According to earlier rumors, these upcoming V15 series smartphones could come with a fingerprint scanner but we have to wait till the official announcement from the company to confirm it. The Vivo V15 Pro will be the first V-series phone which will be equipped with triple rear cameras as per the earlier claims and also expected to feature a 32MP main camera sensor. A few more rumors claim that the Vivo V15 Pro could be coming with a Snapdragon 710 SoC but nothing is confirmed as of now.
A recent report suggested that the handset could be launched as Vivo X25 in China while in India the Vivo V15 could be priced around Rs. 25,000 while the Pro edition might be priced around Rs. 30,000. All these rumors have to be taken with a pinch of salt as nothing is confirmed as of now except for a selfie pop-up camera.
