Chinese manufacturers are in a spree of launching their sub-brands. Last year, OPPO started its sub-brand Realme, Xiaomi had launched the POCO brand, and Huawei has unveiled Honor as its sub-brand. While these brands are significantly portrayed to budget smartphones in the industry – the parent companies are more focused on the premium segment.
There happens to be a new sub-brand that has unveiled into the market, which is also another Chinese smartphone maker Vivo’s sub-brand and the company is calling it as – iQOO. The company has introduced the new sub-brand through microblogging site Weibo. The price segment of the smartphones launched through this iQOO branding is yet to be known. Vivo will most likely launch its new sub-brand iQOO sometime later in this year.
Well, this happens to be a fresh start by Vivo this year with this new approach. And this also comes after Xiaomi has recently introduced its other new budget-focused smartphone segment called – Redmi, which previously had been associated with Xiaomi smartphones for budget and mid-range smartphones.
