Nubia recently listed the Red Magic gaming smartphone on Indiegogo and it achieved its initial target in less than a week. Now, the company is teasing a new smartphone launch with full screen 3.0 technology. Unlike Red Magic, this new smartphone comes with Nubia branding. We expect the company to launch the Nubia Z18 smartphone as the successor to Nubia Z17S smartphone that was launched last year.
While there is no official confirmation from the company, we can at least expect it to be the company’s next flagship smartphone in the Nubia Z-series. From the translated text, the Nubia Z17S is mentioned to have a screen-to-body ratio of 90.36%. However, the device actually came with only actually offered 81.70% screen-to-body ratio. If not, the upcoming Nubia Z18 might offer the mentioned 90.36% screen-to-body ratio.
The Nubia Z17S came with a 5.73-inch Full HD+ 17:9 display and Snapdragon 835 processor. Now, the upcoming Nubia Z18 will come with 5.99-inch Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It might come with the Essential Phone-like notch on the top and a thin bottom bezel. Apart from the volume rocker and power button, the Nubia Z18 also sports an additional hardware button.
The NX606J listed on TENAA will be most probably launched as Nubia Z18. Under the hood, the device will come powered by Snapdragon 845 processor coupled with 6GB/8GB of RAM. While the device comes with 24MP dual cameras on the rear, the lack of space on the front might limit the company to opt for just an 8MP selfie camera. It runs on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.
There will be no 3.5mm audio jack on this device. Instead, the user has to use the USB Type-C port for both charging and connecting earphones. It is backed by a 3,350 mAh battery and will support Quick Charge technology. On the rear of the glass back body, we can also spot circular fingerprint sensor.
