Now with their recently announced handset, UMI Plus, they have been touting about perfectly crafting a phablet that is not only comfortable to hold in hands but also gives stylish appeal. According to the brand, it took them a lot of time and handwork to create a perfect phablet in the eyes of users.
With Plus smartphones, UMI was quite confident that it will break their previous sales record and that is what happened. The new handset from Chinese manufacturer has seen pre-order of more than 64000. On the date when Apple announced their new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, UMI announced their new phablet, marketing as an affordable flagship phablet device, which directly is compared to iPhone 7 Plus.
Talking about the specifications, well, it has some interesting set of specifications such as 5.5-inch Full LTPS screen that has a 2.5D curve. The display panel you see on this handset is a SHARP manufactured panel, who is known to be a pioneer in display panel technology. The metal bodied construction it uses 6000 Series Aluminium alloy material to make the strong, thin and elegant design.
The UMI Plus is powered by a Helios P10 MediaTek processor, which has Octa-core. These eight A53 cores maintain the fluency under heavy usage such as graphic intensive games and memory demanding apps. It is accompanied by a 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM, which is manufactured by Samsung. It has a 32GB of internal storage. There is a Mali T860 GPU in work for graphical image processing in the system.
In the camera department, the device packs 13-megapixel image sensor that is a Samsung sensor. It offers Ultra-fast PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus) focusing with a claim of 0.1 seconds focus time. The sensor has a dual ISP processing for exceptional image quality. This 5 elements lens offers continuous shooting experience, panorama, and support dual-tone flash. On the front, it has a 5-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls.
The device has a front facing fingerprint sensor present on the Home Button itself. The brand claims that it can unlock the device in 0.1 to 0.3 seconds. Moreover, the Front Touch ID houses multifunction features such as app locks. Regarding the connectivity options, it has a dual SIM 4G support, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, Wi-Fi and microUSB port. All this is powered by a 4000 mAh capacity battery, which is something that company claims would offer 13 to 15 days standby time. The Quick Charging is supported on the device, meaning you don’t have to charge device overnight considering the higher capacity battery life.
