The major smartphone manufacturers like Samsung, LG, and Apple launches their flagship devices with a premium price tag. Even at such a high price, the companies justify the high price tag by offering high-end internals along with premium build quality. However, we have even seen super premium smartphones and interestingly, they come from the non-smartphone brands. Vertu is the only smartphone brand that has been continuously launching the super premium smartphones. Earlier, we have seen the smartphones from the premium brands like TAG Heuer, Aston Martin, Porsche, Bentley and few others.
Even Tonino Lamborghini, the manufacturer of the luxury supercars had launched a couple of smartphones called Antares and 88 Tauri. Now, the company came up with a new smartphone called Tonino Lamborghini Alpha One. Unlike the earlier launched smartphone, the company went for not only a premium build quality but also the top-notch specifications. It is now launched only in Russia for RUB 119,000 (approx $2100 / Rs. 1,35,000) and will be soon made available in UK, South Korea, China, and the UAE. The device comes with a super strong liquid metal frame and Italian leather on the rear with golden stitching.
Talking about the specifications, the Tonino Lamborghini Alpha One comes with a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution. There is also a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 on the top for an extra bit of protection. Under the hood is the last year’s Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor coupled with Adreno 530 GPU. It packs 4GB fo RAM and 64GB of internal storage that can be further expanded via MicroSD card slot. The Alpha One runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and comes with dual SIM support. In the camera department, there is a 20MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, OIS, and LED flash. For selfies, there is an 8MP camera on the front.
Just below the rear camera, there is a circular fingerprint sensor to make the device secure. On the rear, we can also spot the famous “Raging Bull” metal logo. It also comes equipped with Dolby Audio System powered dual front facing speakers which offer high quality 3D surround sound. With all these specifications, the Alpha One comes equipped with 3250mAh non-removable battery that is rated to deliver up to 24 hours of talk time and lasts up to 290 hours on standby. It even supports Quick Charge 3.0 using the USB Type-C port. The device also includes dedicated DAC and ADC along with AKM 4961 HiFi recording processor and AKM4490 HiFi audio amplifier.
The company is also offering a sleeve or a side flip phone case with the device which will be available in Yellow, Orange, Dark Green, Deep Blue, and Black color options. Tonino Lamborghini is offering a 5,000mAh power bank and an additional accessory called Bionic Key. While the actual purpose of the Bionic Key is not known, it is a MicroSD card reader with a fingerprint sensor. We don’t think many of you are anyway interested in this device and the company hasn’t mentioned anything about the availability of this device in India. Instead, lets us know which gadget you will be purchasing if you have a budget of $2000.
