We have seen several Xiaomi products which are inspired by Apple products. There are even a few features in the MIUI which are blatantly copied from Apple. Then there are press renders of the Xiaomi devices which look exactly the same as iPhone images. After all these scenarios, now Xiaomi started selling some of its products via Apple stores in China. Xiaomi has several subsidiaries in China which sell IoT devices.
Shenzhen Green Rice Lianchuang Technology Co Ltd, the Xioami’s subsidiary which sells IoT products under the brand name Aqara has recently a few products which are compatible with Apple’s HomeKit. The Aqara Hub which can be used to control all the smart products from Aqara is already supporting Google Assistant. With the HomeKit support, the iPhone users can use Siri to control their Aqara IoT devices.
A few products from its Aqara lineup are also available in the Apple Stores in China. Apart from its own products, Apple also sells the third party products which work with their own ecosystem. The Aqara products which are sold at Apple Stores come with “Works with Apple HomeKit” branding. These can also be purchased from the Xiaomi’s Mi Home stores in China. Xiaomi is yet to launch its IoT products in India.
