Swipe had earlier launched a budget range 4G smartphone, i.e., the Swipe Elite 2 and now the brand has come with another budget smartphone, i.e., the Swipe Virtue priced at Rs 5,999. It comes powered by MediaTek MT6753 Quad-core processor clocked at 1.3 GHz. The device has a 5- inch IPS display with 294 PPI and 1280 x 720 pixels as its resolution. It sports a 8 MP rear camera with an LED flash and 5 MP front camera. The device packs 2 GB RAM and 16 GB as its internal storage and can be expanded upto 32 GB using an external SD Card.     Swipe Virtue

    SIM card insertion is the very first thing that you do when you purchase any new device. To insert a SIM card on your Swipe Virtue, power off your device if you have booted it and remove the back panel. Now remove the battery and insert the SIM card into their respective slots and put back the cover and boot your device. You have successfully inserted the SIM card into your device, and the device will be ready for use once the SIM card is detected.

    What is the type of SIM supported on this device?

    Swipe Virtue is a dual SIM smartphone supporting dual standby. The SIM card supported by the device is a Micro SIM card and a regular SIM card.

    How to share your Data network via Tethering on the device?

    Sharing of the Data network can be done using the tethering mode on your device. To share a data Network on your device, open the Settings and tap on more in the Wireless & Network. In the new window, tap on Tethering & Portable Hotspot and click on Wi-Fi hotspot. In the Wi-Fi hotspot window, toggle the off button to enable that on your device.

    Power saving mode helps in improving the battery life in low battery conditions. To enable the battery saver on your device, open the Settings and tap on the battery in the device section. In the new window, tap on battery use and click on the three-dotted button which is at the top right of the screen. Battery saver option appears on the screen, now tap on it and toggle off button in the new window to enable the battery saver on your device. This option can be automatically turned if you select any of the options i.e. at 5% or 15% battery levels.

    How to use the Screen pinning feature on the Swipe Virtue?

    Screen pinning features is used to pin the application on your home screen and is available on the devices with Android Lollipop on it. To use this option on your device, open the settings and tap on Security in the personal section. In the new window, head over to the advanced section and tap on screen pinning and toggle the off button to enable that on your device. Now open the recent menu and tap on pin button for the app that you want to pin. The App is successfully pinned to your home screen. To unpin the pinned app, you need to press and hold the back button along with the overview button for about 2-3 seconds. The screen is successfully unpinned from your home screen.

    What are the Pre-installed Apps on the device?

    The device comes with Camera, sound recorder, Torch, Email, File Manager, Swipe Store, few google related apps pre-installed on the device.

    Can I Move apps from phone storage to SD card on this device?

    No, there is no such option available on the device using which you can move the app from internal to external storage on your device.

    What are the bloatware applications on the device?

    The device comes with few bloatware applications like Adobe AIR, Adobe Flashplayer 11.1, AssitX, Clan Master, Haptik, Quikr, Trending Apps and CM Browser pre-installed on the device.

    Can I remove the bloatware apps from the device?

    Yes, the bloatware apps can be easily removed just by uninstalling them from your device. There are two ways in which you can uninstall the app directly from your device.
    Method 1:
    Press and hold the app from the app drawer until the uninstall option appears and drag on to it. Now tap on the OK button in pop-up and the app is successfully deleted from your device.

    Method 2:
    This is the general method, open the settings and tap on apps in the device section. In the new window, tap on the app that you want to uninstall and click on the uninstall button. Now tap on the OK button in the pop to remove the app from your device.

    How much is the internal storage on the Swipe Virtue?

    The device comes with 16 GB as its internal storage and around 11.71 GB of free space is available for the mobile users, rest of the space is occupied by pre-installed apps and the OS available on the device.

    What are the Gesture options available on the device?

    The device comes with few smart off screen gestures, i.e., Double Click to wake the screen, Slide up to open the contacts, Slide down to open the file manager; Slide left to open the calendar slide right to open the calculator. The device also comes with many off-screen gestures, i.e., draw c to open the phone, w to open gallery, m to open messaging, e to open CM browser, o to open gallery, s to open the settings, v to open torch, z to open the camera. These options can be changed by tapping on the letter. To use these gestures, open the settings and tap on Gesture Settings and tap on checkbox adjacent to Gesture settings to enable these options on your device.

    How to enable the developer option on your device?

    The USB debugging mode can be enabled by enabling the developer options on your device. To enable this option on your device, open the Settings and tap on About Phone in the System section. In the new window, head over to the bottom of the screen and click on build number for about 7-8 times to enable that on your device. Once the option is enabled You a developer message is displayed on the screen, and the Developer option appears on the System section just above the About Phone. To disable this option, open the settings and tap on Developer options and toggle the off button to enable that on your device.
