In the past, we have seen many tiny smartphones and iPhone clones from China. We can even call the popular OnePlus 5 as the iPhone 7 Plus clone. Now, we have yet another iPhone 7 Plus clone from China called Soyes 7S. Unlike the many iPhone look-a-likes available in the market, the Soyes 7S is also one of the compact smartphones. It even comes with the similar icons as seen in the Apple’s iOS. The design of this device looks similar to the iPhone 7 Plus with the rounded corners and the curved antenna lines. There is also a camera bump on the rear but holds only one sensor.

The Touch ID-like home button is placed beneath the small display. It supports dual SIM dual standby using a hybrid SIM card slot where you have to choose between the secondary SIM or the MicroSD card. The power button and the hybrid slot are placed on the right edge, while the volume rocker can be found on the left edge. It comes with an unibody design and uses the premium metal instead of plastic as seen on the most affordable smartphones. The device runs on the year’s old Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and we don’t expect to see any software updates from the manufacturer.

It sports a 2.54-inch display with a resolution of 432 x 240 pixels and also mentioned to include built-in eye protection. The Soyes 7S is powered by a 32-bit MediaTek MTK6580 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz and comes coupled with Mali-400 GPU. There is just 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage that can be expandable up to 128GB. In the camera department, it packs a 5MP shooter on the rear with the quad LED flash and a 0.3MP shooter on the front for selfies. The device is backed by a 60omAh non-removable battery that is mentioned to give 1-2 days of usage.

On the connectivity front, the device offers 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. Just like the Apple iPhone 7 Plus, the Soyes 7S also skips the 3.5mm audio jack. It will be available in six different including Ink Black, China Red, Ink Gold, Moonlight Silver, Champagne Gold, and Rose Gold. While the 5.5″ iPhone 7 Plus measures 158.2 x 77.9 x 7.3 mm, the 2.54″ Soyes 7S measures just 95 x 46 x 9.9 mm. The project was listed on a crowdfunding website to raise 100,000 Yuan in 30 days, but it already achieved 1,362,033 Yuan in just two weeks time.
