At the ongoing Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2018 in Las Vegas, Sony unveiled three new latest Xperia smartphones. These are the same devices which were leaked last week by Evan Blass. As of now, the company hasn’t revealed the pricing of these three devices. However, the devices are said to be available by the end of this month. Sony continues to use the Omnibalance design and 16:9 aspect ratio. The Sony Xperia XA2 devices run on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.

Sony Xperia XA2

The Sony Xperia XA2 sports a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It comes powered by Snapdragon 630 octa-core processor clocked at 2.2 GHz and includes Adreno 508 GPU. There is 3GB of RAM and 32GBGB of internal storage. The storage can be further expandable up to 256GB via a MicroSD card. Coming to the cameras, there is a 23MP camera on the rear with f/2.0 aperture, Hybrid Auto-Focus, and 84-degree wide-angle lens.

For selfies, there is an 8MP front-facing camera with f/2.4 aperture and 120-degree wide-angle lens. It is backed by a 3,300mAh non-removable battery that also supports Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology. The circular fingerprint sensor is placed on the rear of the device. The power button, volume rocker, and a dedicated shutter button are placed on right edge. It measures 142 x 70 x 9.7 mm and weighs 171 grams.

Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra

The Xperia XA2 Ultra looks exactly similar to Xperia XA2, but with a large 6-inch Full HD display. Under the hood is the Snapdragon 630 Mobile Platform coupled with Adreno 508 GPU and 4GB of RAM. It comes in 32GB and 64GB storage variants and includes a MicroSD card slot storage expansion. On the connectivity front, both the Xperia XA2 and Xperia XA2 Ultra offers 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, GPS, NFC, 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port.

While the 23MP rear camera remains same as on its younger sibling, there is a dual camera setup on the front. There is a 16MP primary camera with OIS and an 8MP secondary camera with wide-angle lens. With the display, this device also packs a bigger 3,580mAh battery.

Sony Xperia L2

Unlike the Xperia XA2 devices, the Xperia L2 packs less powerful specifications. The 5.5-inch display on this device offers only HD (1280 x 720 Pixels) resolution. It includes a MediaTek MT6737T quad-core processor coupled with Mali-T720 GPU. It offers 3GB RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. Instead of the latest Android Oreo, the Xperia L2 runs on  Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The device supports dual SIM dual standby and sports rear-facing fingerprint sensor.

In the camera department, the Xperia L2 includes a 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and an 8MP front-facing camera with f/2.4 aperture and 120-degree wide-angle lens. The device is kept powered on by a 3,300mAh battery and lacks Qualcomm Quick Charge support. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC, 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port.
