Smartron T5525 Smartphone running on Android Nougat & 6GB RAM spotted on GFXBench

Smartron had just launched the new smartron srt.phone recently which. It is more like a mid-ranged offering from the company which is expected to give a good competition to the existing mid-ranged smartphones in India. However, now it looks like the company is working on a flagship-grade smartphone which would be packed with some serious internals like 6GB RAM, etc.
Yes, according to the new reports which we have, it looks like the company is planning on launching a new smartphone. This new device bearing the model number T5525 has now been spotted on GFXBench website. Unlike the srt.phone, this smartphone packs some serious internals and it looks like it could more of a premium mid-ranged offering. This smartphone which has now been spotted on the GFXBench website is running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
Internally, it appears to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 SoC. Yes, this is not a flagship-grade SoC by any means since it is powering a few of the mid-ranged offerings like Galaxy C9 Pro, Oppo R9s, etc. This SoC is coupled with 6GB of RAM as well which is definitely on the higher side. Even few of the flagship smartphones are having just 6GB of RAM. So this is going to be interesting to see how it goes.
On the front, it looks like we will see a 5.5″ 1080p display which has a resolution of 1902 X 1080, which means that it is an FHD display. Also interestingly, despite having 6GB of RAM, the model which was tested in the GFXBench only had 16GB internal storage. Whether or not it will have expandable storage or may be some other unit with more storage, is yet to be seen. In terms of the camera, we are looking at a 12MP rear facing camera. There is also a 5MP front-facing selfie camera.
Interestingly, the model which was tested on the GFXBench doesn’t support Dual SIM cards as well which is quite unusual for a smartphone releasing in India. However, that said, it is highly possible that the company is also working on some other variant with more storage and possibly with support for Dual SIM as well. Well, we would like to know your thoughts on this. Does this new smartphone from Smartron sounds exciting to you and if yes, then why?
