Sansui Horizon 1 4G VoLTE Smartphone Launched Exclusively on Flipkart for Rs. 3,999

The Japanese consumer electronics brand, Sansui today launched a new smartphone called Sansui Horizon 1 in India. Just like its other products, the Horizon 1 smartphone is also sold exclusively through Flipkart. The device is priced at just Rs. 3,999 and supports 4G VoLTE for using with the Jio 4G SIM. Recently, we have seen quite a few VoLTE enabled smartphones at sub Rs. 5,000 price range. With the launch of Jio 4G services, the smartphones industry made the 4G VoLTE compatibility as a basic feature on most of their devices.

The Horizon 1 comes with polycarbonate shell with a plastic removable back cover. Talking about the specifications of the Horizon 1, it sports a 4.5-inch display with FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) resolution. Under the hood is the Spreadtrum SC9832 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz and comes coupled with Mali 400 MP2 GPU and 1GB of RAM. Most of the other smartphones at this price range features just 512MB of RAM. It offers 8GB of onboard storage that can be expanded additionally up to another 64GB.

It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and we don’t expect to see Android 7.0 Nougat anytime soon. There is also a 5MP autofocus camera with dual tone LED flash on the rear. For selfies, the company is offering a 3.2MP fixed focus camera with single LED flash on the front. The Sansui Horizon 1 also comes preinstalled with the mandatory SOS Button (Panic Button) which helps the user to send an alert at the time of an emergency. It is backed by a 2,000mAh battery that might not give more than a day of usage.

With all the thick bezels around the display, the 4.5-inch Horizon 1 measures 136.6 x 68.7 x 9.75 mm and weighs 126.1 grams. It supports dual SIM dual standby and comes with a dedicated MicroSD card slot. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm Audio port, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port.
