Samsung Starts Rolling Out Android 9.0 Pie Beta Update for Galaxy S8 & Galaxy Note 8

A few days back, Samsung announced that it will be rolling out Android 9 Pie beta built of One UI and requested the interested Galaxy Note 8 users, to get registered for it. Now the beta has started rolling out the update for the unlocked owners of Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+, and Note 8 phones. This beta update will be received by the users in the US as of now but nothing is known about the global rollout yet.

If you are not a member of the beta programme yet, you can still get your self registered by heading into the Samsung+ application and open the Notices menu. Once you are successfully registered for the beta programme, the update should be hitting your smartphone any time soon. Furthermore, the update will be bringing a new user interface which will be making it more efficient for the users

We can also expect it to be more ergonomic of the long displays that we have been witnessing in the market. The update will also bring new gesture-based controls on to the handset while be accompanying with Android 9 Pie along with new gesture pill. This update could also be supporting its upcoming foldable device and could be a major factor for Samsungs upcoming smartphones.

The update will come with the version number N950U1UEU5ZSAB / N950U10YM5ZSAB / N950U1UEU5ZSAB with a size of 1521.21 MB. Other changes that accompany the update are the inclusion of image thumbnails in the message notifications, tap the switch once to turn on or off the notifications, new designs and features like Night mode in the UI.
