If you have been following the new lately, then you might be aware of the fact that we had reported about a new hybrid smart watch which Samsung was said to be working on. Well, at the time of the report, we didn’t have a lot to talk about it, apart from the fact that the company had approached a set of people asking for ideas. Well, now it looks like they have worked it out and we have a name for it.
Yes, according to a new report which we have, it looks like Samsung’s upcoming hybrid smartwatch will be called the Gear Sport. Yes, apparently, Samsung has spilled the beans on this through an unavoidable leak. The information was easily accessible online as it was recently listed at the FCC. Although the FCC listing seemingly confirms the name of the device, unfortunately, there is no other info.
The only thing which we happen to know from the FCC listing is the fact that it has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi support. However, there is a schematics image which shows off how the device will look like. As you can see from the image, it has a round form factor. This round form factor is in fact in line with the current generation of the smart watches from the company.
The fact that it is called Sport makes us believe that it will be sort of like an active version. And obviously, as mentioned earlier, it is not just a smart watch or a fitness band, but it is a hybrid. And as far as the launch of this hybrid watch is concerned, there is no exact info about the same, however, we do believe that it will be launched very soon, hopefully at IFA 2017, since it has already received the FCC certification. Meanwhile, be sure to let us know your thoughts on this by leaving a comment down below.
