Samsung is reportedly working on a rugged Galaxy S8 Active for AT&T

The newly launched flagship smartphones from Samsung i.e. the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus are undoubtedly one of the stunning looking devices which we have seen in a long time. However, we all know how durable that is going to be no matter what kind of protection the company is using for the display. If you are planning to own one of them then be informed that you drop this thing hard enough on the floor and you are going to end up with a not so good looking device. However, if you are one of those with an active lifestyle, then you should probably wait since the company is planning on launching a rugged ‘Active’ version of the smartphone very soon.
According to the new reports which we have, the company is working on a new smartphone which goes by the model number SM-G892A. This is supposedly the Galaxy S8 Active is codenamed Cruiser. As we all know that the Active variants of the Galaxy smartphones are usually tougher to suit the active lifestyle and within stand more impact, drops, etc. On the same lines, this Galaxy S8 Active is also expected to be a tough device that can withstand more drops, impacts, etc. And usually, the Active variants also have a bigger battery to last longer when you are on the go.
However, talking about the ruggedness this smartphone will bring to the table, it is something that is to be seen. The Galaxy S8 has a sleek design and going for an active variant is definitely going to make it look more rugged than it looks right now. And another interesting thing which is to be seen is that if the active variant of the device will come with the separate Bixby button or not. Considering the fact that the S7 active came with a configurable button, this would be an interesting thing to see.
And finally, it is also worth noting that the Galaxy S8 Active appears to be an AT&T exclusive, or at least as of now. And judging by the release cycle, we should see this active variant sometime in June. With that said, be sure to let us know what do you think about this?
