Samsung unveiled its new range of wearables at the Galaxy Unpacked event in February this year. Today, the company has officially launched them in the Indian market. The Galaxy Watch Active smartwatch is priced at Rs 19,990 and is available on Amazon India. The company also launched the Galaxy Fit and Galaxy Fit e fitness trackers in the country. Both these new fitness trackers will be available on Flipkart, Myntra, Samsung online store, and select offline stores.
The Samsung Galaxy Fit is priced at Rs 9,990 and comes in Black and Silver color options. On the other hand, the Galaxy Fit e comes with a price tag of Rs 2,590 and will be available in Black, White, and Yellow color options. Talking about the Galaxy Fit e, it comes with a 0.74-inch Monochrome PMOLED display with 128 by 64 pixels resolution. Apart from time and fitness data, the band can also show notifications when paired with a smartphone.
With the Auto Workout Tracking feature, the Galaxy Fit e can automatically detect three different activities including walking, running and dynamic workout. The 70mAh battery on the Galaxy Fit e can last up to 6 to 7 days on regular usage. It comes with Bluetooth 5.0 LE support for paring with smartphones. The fitness tracker includes heart rate monitor and accelerometer sensor. It packs just 128KB of RAM and 4MB storage. It measures 40.2 x 16 x 10.9 mm and weighs just 15g.
Compared to the Galaxy Fit e, the Galaxy Fit offers much better hardware. It sports a bigger 0.95-inch AMOLED color display with 240 by 120 pixels resolution. There is 2MB of RAM and 32MB of ROM. Unlike the Galaxy Fit e, the Galaxy Fit can go automatic tracking for more activities. The Galaxy Fit also comes with NFC support and additionally supports wireless charging. It is backed by a 120mAh which is mentioned to give a week-long battery life.
Both the Galaxy Fit and Galaxy Fit e come with military-grade MIL-STD 810G certification and are also water resistant up to 5ATM (50 meters). The Galaxy Fit users can also reply to the notification using the preset messages. The upcoming Mi Band 4 with the color display will give tough competition to the newly launched fitness trackers from Samsung. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
