Samsung is having a hard time this year with the Galaxy Note 7 smartphone. Since the first explosion, we have seen over 100s of Note 7 exploding in the wild. And now even the replacement units are catching fire, which is a sign that things are worse than ever. And now after multiple reports, it is reported that the company has halted the sales of the Galaxy Note 7 smartphone after all. This is just a temporary halt and we are not sure as to the when the production will resume.
And not just that, it is also expected that a second recall is possible. Well, we all know how difficult was that for the company since they lost so much money with that. And if a second recall happens, then it will definitely be huge blow to the company. With that being said, Samaung is planning to launch the next flagship for 2017 in the month of February, 26th to be exact. This is expected to be the Galaxy S8 smartphone. Well, this was very much expected as there were numerous reports claiming the possibility of the same.

According to the source, the company will be announcing the Galaxy S8 smartphone at the unpacked event in MWC 2017 which is scheduled for 26th February 7 PM in Barcelona. Apart from that, not much info is available about the device it self. At the same has been confirmed with a teaser image. Looking at the teaser image, it looks like the device will also pack an Iris Scanner. It shows an eye with an 8 inside it. And the only smartphone which the company can launch is the Galaxy S8 with an ‘8’.
Now that we have some firm info on this, let’s just wait and see what we get here from the company. As far as the rumours go, it is expected that it will pack all the best hardware along with some interesting features like an Iris scanner, 4k display for better VR experince, etc. The 4K display sounds insane on a smartphone, but we doubt if we will see a smartphone at least not the Galaxy S8. But hey, who knows what we will get here. Everything kept aside, we just hope that the device is safe to use and won’t explode or catch fire.
At this point, we don’t have any other info about the device. And as far as the Indian launch is confirmed, we can expect the smartphone to debut in India in a couple of months later the international announcement. So if this new leaked info is to be believe, we can expect the smartphone to land in India around the month of March or so. So we suggest you to hold tight on the decision if you are planning to buy a smartphone now. Stay tuned for more details on the same in coming days and weeks.
