Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e Announced with 10.5” Super AMOLED Display & 4GB RAM
The thinnest tablet is here and yes, it is the Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e which also has the lightest metal unibody of any Galaxy Tab. Measuring just 5.5mm thin and weighing 400 grams, this tablet is claimed to have a maximized space with 81.8 percent screen-to-body ratio which is more than the Tab S4 (at 79 percent) and a little less than that of Apple’s 11-inch iPad Pro (approx 82.9 percent).
This new device will be coming with a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display with 16:10 aspect ratio along with 2160 x 1600 resolutions. Under the hood, this tab will be powered with an octa-core Snapdragon 670 SoC which will be coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage which could be extended up to 512GB via microSD card. Furthermore, Samsung also listed a 6GB / 128GB storage variant for which the pricing is not yet revealed.
There is a 13MP rear camera on the Tab S5e which will be accompanied by an 8MP camera on the front which is capable of shooting 4K video at 30 frames per second. There is a 7040mAh battery which is expected to last for 14.5 hours on a single charge as it is optimized for long-lasting performance. Moreover, the tab will be coming with YouTube Premium service free for 4 months and also Spotify Premium service for up to 3 months for new members.
The new tablet will be available in Black, Silver, and Gold color options and is expected to be priced at $400 which will be cheaper than its predecessors. It will be supporting new Bixby 2.0 and will come with Quad AKG speakers with Dolby Atmos integration. Furthermore, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e will be available in the 2nd quarter of 2019 but the exact date is not mentioned.
