At the Galaxy Unpacked event in Barcelona, Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ smartphones. While several leaks have already revealed most of the key details, now we got the final confirmation along with pricing and availability information. On the design front, the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ look almost similar to the last year’s Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. However, the company acknowledged the misplacement of the fingerprint sensor on the Galaxy S8 devices and now moved it to the bottom of the rear camera on the new Galaxy S9 devices.

Even the bottom chin on these new flagship smartphones is slightly smaller in size when compared to their predecessors. We got the dual curved glass on either side of the Aluminum frame. While the Galaxy S9 comes with a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED display, the Galaxy S9+ sports a slightly bigger 6.2-inch Super AMOLED display. Both the devices sport Infinity display with QuadHD+ resolution, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, 18.5:9 aspect ratio, and HDR support. Samsung is also using the same Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the rear of the Galaxy S9 devices.

The Snapdragon-powered Galaxy S9 devices will be limited to the U.S and China, and rest of the world will only get the Exynos 9810 powered variants. While the Galaxy S9 comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, the Galaxy S9+ offers 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Both these devices come with hybrid SIM card slot for further expanding the storage up to 400GB.
