Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo Launched as S5 New Edition in Brazil

There was a rumour that Samsung is going to launch a new smartphone Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo but the device is named as Galaxy S5 New Edition and has turned up online as the device is announced in Brazil. This device features all the specs of the Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo with a few minute changes. The device comes powered by a 64-bit Exynos 7580 Octa-Core processor clocked at 1.6GHz that was found earlier in Galaxy J7.
The S5 New Edition sports a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display with 1920 × 1080 pixels resolution. It packs 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB using an external TransFlash (MicroSD) card. It is a dual SIM smartphone and supports dual standby. The Type of the SIM card supported by the device is Micro-SIM.
In terms of the camera, the device packs 13-megapixel camera module with LED Flash on the rear while 5-megapixel camera module on teh front to capture selfies. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, 2G/3G/4G LTE-A are some of the important connectivity features supported by the S5 New Edition. All this comes powered by a 2800mAh Li-Po capacity battery and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop Version.
The dimensions of the device are 142 x 72.2 x 7.1 mm while it weighs around 145grams. The S5 NE comes with a heart rate sensor as mentioned in the listing while there isn’t a mention of the fingerprint sensor as it was initially alleged to come with. It is Dust and water resistant as it has an IP67 certified rating.
The Galaxy S5 New Edition is available in three variants of color, i.e., Copper Gold, Charcoal Black and Titanium Grey. The pricing and availability of the device is yet to be revealed.
