Samsung Galaxy S10 5G Pricing & Launch Date Revealed

Samsung is already selling the Galaxy S10 5G in South Korea. Today, the company has announced the pricing and launch date of the Galaxy S10 5G smartphone for the US market. As expected, Verizon will be selling the Galaxy S10 5G starting May 16th. The device is now available for pre-orders and the 256GB base variant will be costing USD 1299 (approx INR 91,000). There is one more variant which comes with 512GB of internal storage and costs an extra USD 100.
It will be available in Crown Silver and Majestic Black color options. The company will also offer VIP Kit with the pre-ordered devices which include Galaxy Buds and Wireless Charging power bank. Talking about the specifications, the Galaxy S10 5G comes with a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with Quad HD+ resolution and HDR10+ support. It is protected by the latest Corning Gorilla Glass 6 on the top. Under the hood is the 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform.
It comes coupled with Snapdragon X50 5G modem to support mmWave and sub 6GHz spectrums. While the device comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB/512GB of internal storage, there is no MicroSD card slot for storage expansion. Both the Galaxy S10 5G and Galaxy S10 Plus comes with the same set of cameras on the front and rear. However, the Galaxy S10 5G additionally offers ToF 3D sensor on the front and rear. With this, the device also supports more secure 3D face unlock.
The rear cameras offer dual OIS and also 123-degree ultra-wide-angle view. It also comes with an ultrasonic in-display finger scanner on the front. The device is backed by a 4,500mAh non-removable battery and supports 25W fast charging. Just like other Galaxy S10 devices, the 5G variant can also be used for charging other devices with Qi wireless charging support. The Galaxy S10 5G runs on Android 9.0 Pie-based One UI out of the box.
It measures 162.6 x 77.1 x 7.94 mm and weighs 198 grams. Also, there is no dual SIM support on this device. The Galaxy S10 5G will be the first true 5G smartphone to be made available in the US.
