Samsung is well known for launching many variants of a single device and now it is releasing the pro versions of the Galaxy On5 and On7 those were released last year. Dubbed as Galaxy On5 Pro and On7 Pro these devices are roughly similar to their predecessors with few perks. Galaxy On5 Pro comes with a 5-inch HD (720 x 1280 pixel) display and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core. There is an 8 MP rear facing camera coupled with a 5 MP camera on the front. The On7 Pro also features similar specifications but has a bigger screen size of 5.5-inches with the same resolution and has a 13 MP camera on the rear.
Followed are few tips and tricks of the device that will be useful to its users.

To insert an SIM card on your Galaxy On5 Pro and On7 Pro, the user needs to switch off the device initially and remove the back cover. Now remove the battery and insert the SIM cards as per the marked direction on the back panel and place the battery back. Place the cover back start the handset to start using the network via SIM cards.
Both Samsung Galaxy On5 Pro and On7 Pro are dual SIM smartphone and support dual standby. The SIM card supported by these devices are Micro SIM card.
Sharing the data over a device can be done using the Tethering Mode on your device. To share a data network on your On5 Pro or On7 Pro, Open the settings, tap on Mobile hotspot and tethering in the connections section. In the new window tap on Mobile Hotspot and toggle the off button to enable that on your device. You can also tap on the More button and configure your device by tapping on Configure Mobile Hotspot.
Screenshot can be captured by pressing the power button along with the home button. The screenshot is captured and saved to the gallery section of your device. Captured screenshot may be saved in two formats either jpg or png. This can also be shared from any application.
To check for updates on your Galaxy On5 Pro and On7 Pro, Open the settings and tap on About Device in the System section. In the new window, click on System Updates and tap on Update now to check for updates. If there is an update available, you need to download it and then install.
External apps with apk on your device can be installed by enabling the Unknown sources option on your device. To enable this option on your Samsung Galaxy On5 Pro and On7 Pro, open the Settings and tap lock screen and security in the Quick settings region or else from the personal section. In the window, tap on Unknown Sources and click on the OK button in the pop-up to enable this option on your device.
The quick settings in the notification panel come with Wi-Fi, Location, Sound, Screen rotation, Bluetooth in the first layer and Mobile data, Ultra Data saving, Power saving, Flight mode and Do not disturb in the second layer. These quick options can be customized by tapping on the edit button. Now you need to drag the apps and arrange them in order as per your usage.
To enable the power saving option on your Samsung Galaxy On5 Pro and On7 Pro, Open the settings and tap on the battery in the system section. You will find two types of Power saving modes in the power saving section i.e.; Power saving mode and Ultra power saving mode. To use the normal power saving mode tap on it and toggle the off button to enable that on your device. The Ultra Power Saving Mode saves the battery power by enabling the minimal home screen layout and limiting the number of apps on the device. To enable this on your device, open the Settings and head over to system and tap on battery. Now click on Ultra Power Saving mode in the power saving section and toggle the off button. Now tick the check box and click on Agree button in the pop-up to enable on your device. Same should be done to turn off the mode.
The device comes with sensors like, Acceleration and Proximity
There are no LED notification lights available on the device.
Galaxy On5 Pro and On7 Pro come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow on them. So use this feature on your device, Open the Settings and click on Lock screen and security in the quick settings section. Now tap on other security settings and head over to the advanced section and tap on pin window. In the new window, toggle the off button to enable that on your device. To use this, open the recent window and tap on pin button that is at the bottom right of the screen. To unpin your pinned screen, press the back button along with the recent key firmly on your device.
The Ultra Data saving mode will restrict the background data on all the applications until the user allows few specific applications to use the mobile data. To enable this on your device, Open the notification panel and tap on Ultra data saving. In the new pop-up tap on the agree button and Ultra data saving mode is enabled on the handsets.
The On5 Pro and On7 Pro come with 2 GB of RAM, out of which around 900 MB is user available and the rest is occupied the system OS and other pre-installed applications.
The On5 Pro comes with a Li-Ion 2600 mAh battery on the back, whereas the bigger On7 Pro comes with a Li-Ion 3000 mAh battery which should be decent enough for normal day to day usage.
The device comes with basic tools, Opera Max, Smart Manager, S Planner, Galaxy apps and all the Google related apps pre-installed.
Yes, there is an option on the device where you can move apps from internal storage to an external SD Card on your device. To use this feature on your device, Open the settings and click on Applications in the Device section and tap on Application Manager and tap on the app that you want to move from your device. Now tap on Move to SD card to or vice versa.
Both the devices come with bloatware apps like Mix Radio and Opera Max .
No, the bloatware applications cannot be uninstalled from your device, but there is an option where you can disable them. To disable an application, open the settings, tap on Application in the device section and click on application manager. In the new window, head over to all section and tap on the app that you want to disable. Now click on disable button, the app is disabled and moved to the disabled section. You can further enable the app from the disabled section.
These devices come with 8GB as its internal storage, out of which around 4.5GB of free space is available for the user and rest of space is occupied by the system OS and other pre-installed apps.
Samsung’s new device Galaxy On5 Pro and On7 Pro comes with a quick settings option where it comes with few basic settings on the top of the Settings window. To edit the quick settings, open the settings and tap on the edit button. Now tap on the check box to select the options that you want them to appear.
Smart Manager is used to clean the RAM and junk for your device and hence enhances the performance of the device. To use this option, open the Smart Manager app from app drawer. It comes with four options on the screen, i.e., Battery, Storage, RAM, Device security. Now click on Clean All button and clear the junk and remove the space on your device.
Yes, the device supports USB OTG (On the Go) using which you can transfer the files from internal storage to OTG drive and vice-versa.
S Bike Mode is a feature that will allow only selected notification to the device and or priority notifications of the calls while you are driving at a speed of about 10 Kmph and above. This keeps the driver from distractions and drive safely.

Both the devices come out of the box with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and there is no information about the further updates on these devices.
Find my mobile option is used to remote and control your device as the device would be connected with your Samsung account. To use this feature on your device, Open the Settings and click on Lock screen and security. In the new window tap on Find My Mobile and tap click on Add account (Samsung Account). Once the account is added remote controls option is enabled on your device, toggle button adjacent to keep an eye on your device using the Samsung account.
To enable developer mode on your Samsung Galaxy On5 Pro and On7 Pro, Open the settings and tap on About Device. Now continuously tap press the Build number for about seven times. The developer option is now enabled on the device and is displayed above the About Device in the Settings page.
To reset and back up the device, make sure the battery on the device is more than 50%. Now go to the settings of the device and tap on the option Backup and reset. Now choose the account to which the data has to be backed up, and the select other options according and proceed to reset the device.
To change the font size on and style on these devices, go to the settings and tap on the option Display. Now tap on the Font option wherein the user have the option to swipe and select from Tiny to Huge and the preview will be shown on the top. In the same page, you can also change the font style from the options listed.
