Two days back, Samsung teased about the launch of new Galaxy On device exclusively on Flipkart. Today, the Galaxy On NXT smartphone officially listed on both the company’s official website and Flipkart online store. It is priced at Rs. 18,490 and will be available in Black and Gold color options. It is the same Galaxy J7 Prime that was launched at Rs. 18,790 but additionally comes with 32GB of onboard storage instead of just 16GB. While we expected the device to be powered by Snapdragon 625 SoC, it still uses the Exynos 7870 octa-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz.
It sports a 5.5-inch display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 2.5D Gorilla Glass protection on top. It has 3GB of RAM along with 32GB of storage that can be further expanded via MicroSD card slot upto 256GB. There is a 13MP camera with f/1.9 aperture and LED flash on the back. For selfies, the smartphone is equipped with an 8MP front camera with the same f/1.9 aperture. The Galaxy On NXT supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G VoLTE for using the Jio 4G SIM.
The S Secure feature makes the device a bit more secure with the features like locking/hiding the apps. It is backed by a 3,300mAh non-removable battery that might give at least a day of usage with ‘S Power Planning’ battery optimizations. According to the company, the device can give 15 hours of talk time and 84 hours of audio playback. It comes with the My Galaxy app that offers music, gaming, and videos. The physical home button on the front also come equipped with a fingerprint sensor. The device feels slim by measuring 8mm thickness but weighs almost 167 grams.
