Samsung has recently launched the two new premium smartphones Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+. These devices are the successor of Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy S6 Edge. The design on the Galaxy Note 5 is pretty decent. It comes powered by a 64-bit Exynos 7420 SoC octa-core processor with four Cortex A-53 cores clocked at 2.1GHz. The device packs a 5.7-inch Quad HD (2560×1440) Super AMOLED display with a pixel density of 518ppi. It comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass on both front and rear. Though, note that the glass is curved on the edges from back. It is available in two variants i.e.; 32GB and 64GB as its internal storage with 4GB of RAM, and has no external micro SD card slot. We have got the 32GB variant and after booting the device for the first time, out of 32GB only 24.85GB of free space is available on the device.
Packing a 16MP shooter on the rear with an aperture of f/1.9 and advanced OIS support, the Note 5 comes with similar camera that is found on the Galaxy S6. Talking about the front camera, it is of 5MP with wide-angle selfie support. The device is powered by a 3000mAh non-removable battery that supports both wired and wireless charging with fast charging support. The brand has assured that the device can be charged from zero to full within 90 mins. For our first charge, we were pretty much stunned with the charging speed. It runs on the TouchWiz UI based on the Android 5.1.1 lollipop.
The device comes with improved S-Pen which controls all the air command features on the device. The device is available in four different variants of colors i.e.; Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum, White Pearl, and Silver Titanium. The device measures 153.2 x 76.1 x 7.6 mm in dimensions and weighs at 171 grams out of Box.
