Samsung has been rolling out the latest Android Pie update to its non-premium handsets, and now the Galaxy J6 joins the list too. The J6 is said to be receiving the new One UI update in the country, which was initially received in Italian units of the Galaxy J6 smartphone.
According to SamMobile, the Galaxy J6 Android update for India features J600GDXU3BSD9 software version, which is One UI-based as well. With the OneUI, the Galaxy J6 users get a benefit of a bunch of new features including the system-wide dark mode, new navigation buttons and swipe gestures, and the overall design revamp across the user interface and more.
Besides the latest Android Pie and the OneUI, the new update also brings March 2019 Android security patch for the Galaxy J6. Similar to all the software updates the rollout has begun in India and users will be receiving an OTA update or users can navigate to System update section in the Phone Settings and download the software update manually.
Samsung has been getting on the fast pace lately with timely updates to all its smartphones other than flagship devices. Not long ago, the Galaxy J8 device had also received the latest Android 9.0 Pie-based OneUI update that came with a J810FPUU3BSD1 firmware version, which had brought dual VoLTE support to the device as well.
