We have been seeing a lot of speculation surrounding the alleged new refurbished Galaxy Note 7 smartphone for the past couple of weeks. It has been reported that the company is going to relaunch it in certain markets very soon. And as far as the name of this smartphone is concerned, it has been reported that it would come with the name Galaxy Note 7R where ‘R’ apparently stood for Refurbished. However, according to the new reports which we have with us right now, it looks like the smartphone will go on sale by the name Galaxy Note FE.
Well, this certainly sounds like a very unusual name indeed. From what info we could gather, it looks like the FE stands for Fan Edition! Yes, this is definitely not the name we expected but most people are of the opinion that it is comparatively better than 7R name since the only thing which the 7R reminds is all the bad things that happened in the past. And we are sure that’s the last thing which Samsung wants right now after all what they have been through.
Calling the refurbished Note ‘Fan Edition’ also makes a lot of sense since only the hardcore fans would be picking this one up now. Most people have either moved on to newer devices like the Galaxy S8 or the S8 Plus, etc. Only the loyal Note 7 fans would be waiting for this and this name sounds apt for them. Well, with all that out of the way, we all are excited to see this device make a comeback. After all, it was the best Note smartphone that was out till date.
Now as far as the release date of this smartphone is concerned, we don’t have an official confirmation of the same. It has been reported that this will soon make its debut in certain select markets only. And as far as the pricing is concerned, it has been reported that it will go on sale for half the price of the original Note 7. And this puts the price somewhere over $400. Having said that, if you are interested in knowing more about this device, then we suggest you stay tuned to PhoneRadar for more on this.
