Xiaomi recently teased its new sub-brand called POCO (a.k.a POCOPHONE). Now, the company has officially confirmed to launch its first POCO-branded smartphone on August 22nd in India. The device will be called as POCO F1 and comes with flagship specifications. The POCO F1 will be the same POCOPHONE F1 which was previously leaked online. From the leaked details, the device comes with metal unibody design featuring liquid cooling system.
While the flagship Mi 8 smartphone was launched in China and few European markets, the company skipped launching it in India. Now, the new POCO F1 will be first hitting the Indian shores. The POCO F1 could be sold as POCOPHONE F1 in the European markets. With the notch display, the front of the device looks exactly similar to the Mi 8. While the official launch is scheduled for August 22nd, the leaks already revealed the first look and full specifications of the device.
It comes with a Full HD+ (2246 × 1080 pixels) notch display with 19:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the POCO F1 will come powered by the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform coupled with Adreno 630 GPU. The flagship Qualcomm processor combined liquid cooling system should make the device playable for longer durations without any issues. It will be running on Android 8.1 Oreo with MIUI skin laid on top.
In terms of optics, the POCO F1 will be offering 12MP + 5MP dual cameras on the rear and a single 20MP selfie camera on the front. Though the device sports rear-facing fingerprint sensor, there is a secured IR face unlock option. With all these powerful specifications, the POCO F1 comes backed by a 4,000mAh non-removable battery and supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology.
