OPPO Launches the Most Affordable Smartphone with In-display Fingerprint Scanner

As teased earlier, OPPO has introduced the all-new K series by launching the OPPO K1 smartphone in China today. The new OPPO K1 is the most affordable smartphone to sport an in-display fingerprint scanner. OPPO has already introduced the in-display fingerprint scanner with the high-end OPPO R17 smartphones. The device comes with a glossy finish back body with curved edges. It comes in Mocha Red and Van Gogh Blue (gradient finish) color options.
Talking about the specifications, the device sports a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution and waterdrop notch. Under the hood is the 14nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor coupled Kryo 260 CPU and Adreno 512 GPU. The device comes in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants with 64GB of internal storage. There is also a MicroSD card slot for further expansion of storage.
In the camera department, the OPPO K1 sports 16MP + 2MP dual cameras on the rear and a 25MP single camera on the front. It is backed by a 3600mAh non-removable battery and comes with 5V/2A power adapter. Considering its price tag, the company skipped offering the VOOC Flash charge fast charging technology. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port.
It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with Color OS 5.2 skin on top. The OPPO K1 measures 158.3 x 75.5 x 7.4 mm and weighs 156 grams. The device sports an in-display fingerprint sensor and also support face unlock. Coming to the pricing, the OPPO K1 with 4GB and 6GB RAM will be costing 1599 Yuan and 1799 Yuan respectively.
