OPPO had unveiled its flagship smartphone Find 7 way back in March 2014 and the successor for this device is not yet launched. In early September, there are rumors about the possible launch of the Find 9 on Sep 19th, but the rumors turned to be false. Now the device is suggested to sport the recently launched Snapdragon 820 that will only be available in early 2016 and the Find 9 may be launched in next month after the latest chipset is made available.

After launching the Find 7 in 2014, the company had skipped 2015 leaving the user with the OPPO R7 series of smartphones. The fresh rumors according to a Weibo user @MochaRQ suggest the device to feature hidden fingerprint sensor by confirming the Snapdragon 820. He is the same guy who had earlier posted about the similar kind of technology that will also be used in the Xiaomi Mi 5.

Talking about this new technology, Qualcomm had first demoed this new ultrasonic fingerprints scanning technology called Snapdragon Sense ID at the MWC 2015 held in March. According to Qualcomm, this new technology can read fingerprint deeper into the pores that will also be more accurate than ever. The sensor can be hidden under any material like Glass, Aluminum, Steel, Plastics, or even Sapphire.

The device will be running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box with customized Color OS on top of it. Another rumor on the internet suggests the device to sport a 5.9-inch Quad HD display and 4GB of RAM. We can’t confirm any of these details, take them with a pinch of salt. Recently the company had launched the OPPO R7s with Full HD display and Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor.

It includes 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that can be further expandable via MicroSD card slot. The device is backed by a 3,070mAh battery and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Color OS 2.1 overlaid. The other devices in the R7 series include OPPO R7 Lite and OPPO R7 Plus along with OPPO R7.
