Oppo, the mobile brand from China has been making a few very decent smartphones, and with its recent device, the Oppo Find 7, the company created some buzz because of the specifications included and what the phone has to offer. The Find 7 is the high-end version, while there is even a Oppo Find 7a which comes with a little compromise with a few specs, but the entire focus would be on the Find 7, especially for the QHD display which most of the known manufacturers have in the pipeline for the year ahead.
Back in March, Oppo unveiled the Find 7 and it was clearly one of the earliest to come up with a phone with the resolution higher than the Full HD one, as the resolution here is 2560×1440 pixels for the 5.5-inch display, which makes the pixel density to 536ppi, and this is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Just like the advanced display, there’s the latest Snapdragon 801 processor under the hood, a quad-core CPU clocking at 2.5 GHz, and that is supported by 3GB RAM and Adreno 330 GPU. Given the internal specs, this is a power packed device coming from a Chinese brand.
Oppo isn’t using the standard Android OS here, as the OS here is called the “Color OS”, though it is based on the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean version. The cameras in the Oppo Find 7 include a 13-megapixel rear shooter (with Sony Exmor IMX214 BSI sensor) which is capable of recording 4K videos, 120p Slow motion videos, and there’s a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with 80-degree wide angle lens. For those who are following the device updates since the beginning, you might know how Oppo was promoting this one with the 50-megapixel captures. The fact is – you can do that with the Ultra-HD” multi-shot feature, where the camera would get into the depth of a picture, and in the backend, there are a total of 10 photos captured and combined to put out a single capture which has a high resolution.
The battery in the phone comes with the capacity of 3000 mAh and for the areas where supported, the Oppo Find 7 has got the 4G LTE connectivity. Having an internal storage of 32GB, the phone supports 128GB storage expansion with the MicroSD card.
There’s some specials included too, and here’s the important ones.
- VOOC fast charging system which helps in the Rapid charging of the phone, at 4 times the conventional phone charging and the company claims that around 75% of the charging is done in about 30 minutes. A five minute charge will allow the Find 7 to support a two-hour call.
- Skyline Notification – this is a Blue LED notification light in the bottom of the phone, just below the screen to let you know whenever there are pending notifications to be checked.
- MaxxAudio – The MaxxAudio sound enhancement technology by Waves is used in the Find 7 for the audio enhancement and experience.
