OnePlus has started rolling out a new OxygenOS beta update for the OnePlus 6 users which lets them use the SIM-free feature. The new Open Beta 7 also brings a new Video Enhancer on the device along with many other changes. Since this is just a beta software, there is a chance of it not being as stable as the official OTA updates, so it better you give a thought on it before you install the update. This is mainly to see if there are any bugs which can be reported back to the company on their official forum page.
OnePlus has also integrated the Feedback tool into community application so that the users can report if they find any bugs and also share the logs directly. Moreover, if you have already flashed an Open Beta you would be receiving this new built as an OTA but if you haven’t flashed it then, follow the instruction from the source link and the full ROM can be downloaded. If you have moved to the beta path or planning to move, note that you would be receiving the Open Beta OTAs and no longer will be getting regular Official Stable OTAs. The user needs to move back to the official OTA path by a full install and clean flash.
The roaming feature will let its user surf the internet without a local SIM card like a virtual SIM which is limited only to data, as the user won’t be able to make calls. It should be working globally in most of the countries and plans will be variant from region to region. The OnePlus Roaming feature can be found in the settings section of the smartphone from the Wi-Fi and Internet option. The user can start using this feature by making a purchase of the package and after reaching the destination you can enable it from the ordered list.
Apart from there, the update also brings the general bug fixes and performance improvements that we see with all the updates. Well, to enhance the Video, the user needs to go to the Setting of the device and then select the Display option. Now the user will be able to get enhanced colors for a better experience while watching videos. Did you receive the new Beta 7 update on your handset?
