Last week, OnePlus posted a new photo of OnePlus 5 teasing the new color option. Today, the company revealed the OnePlus 5 in all-new Soft Gold color option. It looks similar to the Soft Gold variant of the OnePlus 3T launched in 2016. The Soft Gold OnePlus 5 will be available only in 6GB RAM variant with 64GB of internal storage. It will be on sale starting August 9th for Rs. 32,999 in India. The device can be purchased from Amazon.in and Oneplusstore.in. In other countries, the OnePlus 5 Soft Gold color variant goes on sale starting today.
The device sports a 5.5-inch Optic AMOLED display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. Under the hood is the 64-bit Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 540 GPU. Along with the 6GB RAM variant, the high-end OnePlus 5 comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. There is no MicroSD card slot for further expansion of storage. It runs on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box with the Oxygen OS laid on top. While the 6GB RAM variant costs Rs. 32,999 and 8GB RAM variant is retailing at Rs. 37,999.
In terms of optics, there is 20MP + 16MP dual rear camera setup on the rear. On the front is a 16MP autofocus camera for selfies and video calls. The physical home button on the front also comes with an integrated fingerprint sensor. It supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G VoLTE connectivity. With the 3,300mAh non-removable battery, the device gives decent battery life. It also supports Dash Charging technology that can charge the device from 0% to 75% in just 30 minutes. Apart from the new Soft Gold color, OnePlus 5 will also be available in Slate Grey and Midnight Black color options.
