OnePlus launched the new OnePlus 3 smartphone this year with some great new features and specs. Soon it became one of the best flagship smartphones that were available in the market. Moreover, it was priced quite aggressively as well. Well, keeping all that aside, we now recently saw some new reports claiming the possibility of yet another smartphone from the company which was supposedly the OnePlus 3T. Obviously, the ‘T’ here was meant for the turbo (as claimed by rumours). It is expected that it will be powered by a Snapdragon 821 SoC and will come with a 2K display as well, which will be a slight upgrade. But still, none of that was confirmed either.
And now we have some new info which might leave all the previous rumours to dust. Yes, this is the flagship OnePlus 4. We now have some new reports with some info about this smartphone that was spotted on Weibo. According to the report, this new smartphone variant will be released in June or Jul i.e., is around the Q2 of 2017. And as far as the specs are concerned, it is expected that the Snapdragon 830 will be powering this smartphone. Although we don’t have a firm info about the production of this new Snapdragon 830 CPU, since there are multiple rumours claiming the possibility of TSMC producing them instead of Samsung.
However, that is something to be confirmed yet and we might have to wait some time till we get more light on this matter. With that being said, the OnePlus 4 smartphone is going to be powered a chipset which will be clocked at 3.0Ghz along with an Adreno 620 GPU inside. It is also expected that it will be kept powered by a 4,000 mAh battery and will run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. With that being said, none of this info have any official confirmation, and hence we suggest you take all this info with a pinch of salt.
Well, as of now, if you are in the market for a flagship OnePlus smartphone then the only option you have right now is the OnePlus 3. It is as good as it gets and it is still one of the best smartphones that one can buy for the price point. It packs some of the best in the market right now like the snapdragon 820 SoC along with 6GB of RAM etc. Yes, definitely the OnePlus 4 will be an upgrade, but since we don’t have any official confirmation on this, we will wait for the same then revert back with more details soon.
