Nokia Lumia 735

Nokia has announced the Nokia Lumia 730, the selfie phone with a 4.7-inch display and the mid-range specifications along with it. This phone was announced alongside Nokia Lumia 830 at the IFA 2014 event in Berlin. While the concept of selfies didn’t seem interesting initially when Nokia gave the tag “Selfie phone” to the Nokia Lumia 730 (and the LTE variant of it modeled 735), the pricing at which the Nokia is launching this, makes the device quite an interesting one.

The 4.7-inch display has the HD resolution (1280 x 720 pixels screen resolution) and the device would be running the latest Windows Phone 8.1 OS, and Microsoft has announced the Lumia Denim update as well which would be coming to this device. The update is majorly for the improvement in speed of the interface, as well as improvement in the Lumia Camera app. Camera wise, the Lumia 730 will have a 6.7-megapixel camera on the rear side with LED flash, while the front has the 5-megapixel selfie camera and Nokia has included a dedicated Lumia Selfie app for those who wanted more than just a simple selfie capture using the front facing camera. The good thing about the camera is the 24mm wide angle lens for giving a larger area for many faces in a single frame. The rear camera has a wide f/1.9 aperture for good low light photos.

Nokia Lumia 735 LTE

The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor along with 1GB of RAM and the internal storage available here is 8GB. There is a MicroSD card slot for the storage expansion, if 8GB isn’t good enough. There are two variants – Lumia 730 with Dual SIM (basically, the 3G model) and Lumia 735, where the Dual SIM is replace by 4G LTE connectivity, and it is a single SIM device. Another difference is that Lumia 735 has interchangeable shells with the wireless charging option, but the Lumia 730 doesn’t come with the wireless charging option although the shells on the back are interchangeable.

The Lumia 730 (dual-SIM) device is priced at 199 Euros, while the Lumia 735 (LTE variant) is priced at 219 Euros. These phones should be available this month later, and every phone purchased will give three months of Unlimited Wold (Skype calls subscription) for free. The color options available are green, orange, dark grey, and white.

Vine and Skype are the two apps which I love on a windows phone

  • This should look for windows 10, since the od is looker better and running smoother. People will be disappointed with small meaningless updates they constantly receive. Microsoft needs an entire overhaul. They took a step in the right direction with the removal of future Nokia lumis branding

  • me too the windows phone has SOME redeeming features so why hasnt it found much success in markets? I think its because of their low app support

yup there are limits in Windows of apps so you can’t enjoy that much games and apps which you find in an android

  • thats ssomething windows DEFINITELYT Needs to fix their store is so empty! the app marketplace is so far behind ios and android!
