Nokia is rumored to re-enter the Smartphone world with 6-7 smartphones covering all the price brackets. While we heard a lot about the Nokia D1C smartphone, now few specifications of the entry-level Nokia smartphone rumored as Nokia E1 are leaked. A few weeks back, an image which is said to be of Nokia E1 is shared on the internet. While the Nokia D1C is said to feature mid-range specifications, few rumors suggest the company to launch a couple of premium smartphones powered by the flagship Snapdragon processor. However, the newly leaked Nokia E1 is said to come with entry-level specifications.

As of now, the Chinese manufacturers are ruling the sub $150 price segment by launching the smartphones with some decent mid-range specifications. The Nokia E1 is rumored to feature a 5.2-inch or 5.3-inch display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution. Under the hood, it includes the 64-bit Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz and coupled with Adreno 308 GPU. Qualcomm announced this chipset alongside the Snapdragon 435 and Snapdragon 625 processors in February last year. Talking about the other specifications, the device packs 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.

We also expect the Nokia E1 to include the MicroSD card slot for storage expansion. While the device is said to run on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, there is no information whether the company opts for Z launcher or the stock Android UI. On the camera front, the Nokia E1 comes with a 13MP rear sensor with LED flash and a 5MP front camera for selfies and video calls. Though we aren’t sure, if the Nokia E1 is priced around $150, then it can be a good alternative when compared to the Chinese counterparts. At least, we can expect better service from Nokia than the Chinese manufacturers.

Apart from the Nokia branding, every aspect of the upcoming Nokia phones will be decided by HMD, and we hope they bring back the lost charm of the Nokia brand with these devices. The company will be unveiling these Android-powered Nokia smartphone at the upcoming MWC 2017. On the other hand, Antutu had revealed the specifications of the Nokia D1C in October last year. It is mentioned to come with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution display and comes powered by the Snapdragon 430 processor. Compared to rumored Nokia E1 specifications, the Nokia D1C packs slightly powerful hardware.

It includes 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and runs on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat. The device also features a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. Take all these details with a pinch of salt, since the company is yet to make an official announcement. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details about the upcoming Nokia smartphones as the company will be launching them at the upcoming MWC 2017 event.
