It is one of the most affordable Snapdragon 835-powered smartphones in the Indian market. According to our exclusive source, the Nokia 8 has received a whopping Rs. 8,000 price cut in India. While it was launched at Rs. 36,999, the Nokia 8 will be now sold for just Rs. 28,999.
Recently, the company also released the latest Android 8.0 Oreo update for this smartphone. Compared to other flagship devices, the Nokia 8 offers similar performance but comes with the standard 16:9 aspect ratio. On the front is a 5.3-inch display with Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is powered by 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor clocked at 2.45GHz and comes coupled with Adreno 540 GPU and 4GB of RAM.
In the camera department, the Nokia 8 offers dual rear cameras featuring 13MP RGB sensor and 13MP Monochrome sensor with Zeiss optics lens. There is a 13MP selfie camera on the front with f/2.0 aperture, 78.4-degree wide-angle, and PDAF. Both the front and rear cameras are capable of recording in 4K resolution. With the Nokia 8, HMD Global also introduced the Nokia OZO’s spatial 360-degree audio technology.
The Nokia 8 is also splash-proof, thanks to the IP54 certification. It is backed by a 3,090mAh non-removable battery and supports Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, NFC, and USB Type-C 3.1 port. The device is sold via Amazon India and major retail stores.
