Last month, HMD Global launched the China-exclusive Nokia X6 as Nokia 6.1 Plus in India. It is the first Nokia smartphone to come with a notch display. The Nokia 6.1 Plus is priced at Rs 15,999 in India is sold exclusively via Flipkart and Nokia.com. Now, the company has confirmed to launch the Nokia 5.1 Plus in India on September 24th. The Nokia 5.1 Plus will be the same Nokia X5 which was recently launched in China.
It comes with a glossy finish body with a 2.5D curved glass on the front and rear. As seen on the Nokia 6.1 Plus, the upcoming Nokia 5.1 Plus will also come with a notch display. It sports a 5.8-inch IPS display with HD+ (1520 x 720 pixels) HD resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood is the 12nm MediaTek Helio P60 octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz. It comes coupled with Mali-G72 MP3 GPU and 3GB of RAM.
There is 32GB of internal storage that can be expandable up to 400GB using a MicroSD card slot. The device supports dual SIM dual standby using the hybrid SIM card slot. In terms of optics, the Nokia 5.1 Plus sports 13MP + 5MP dual rear cameras with f/2.0 aperture and an 8MP front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture. It is backed by a 3,000mAh non-removable battery and might not support fast charging.
It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box and will soon get the Android P update. Since its an Android One device, it lacks any kind of bloatware in the UI.
