Last month, HMD Global announced the all-new Nokia 2.1, Nokia 3.1, and Nokia 5.1 smartphones as the successors to last years’s Nokia 2, Nokia 3, and Nokia 5 smartphones. In the last few weeks, we have also seen leaks about the Nokia 5.1 Plus smartphone. While there is no official confirmation about its launch, the CAD renders of the device were earlier leaked online. Now, a new Nokia device with the model number TA-1109 is listed on Chinese certification website, TENAA.

The TA-1109 looks similar to the Nokia 5.1 Plus shown in the CAD renders. As the device comes with the notch, it is also rumored to be launched in China as Nokia X5. The Nokia X6 launched earlier this year is the company’s first ever smartphone with a notch display. Talking about the Nokia 5.1 Plus, the device comes with the metal frame and sports 2.5D curved glass on the front and rear. It comes with a 5.86-inch display with HD+ (1520 x 720 pixels) resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio.

Under the hood, it comes powered by an unspecified octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz. It comes in 3GB, 4GB, and 6GB RAM variants and offers 32GB/64GB of internal storage. There is also a MicroSD card slot for expanding the storage up to 128GB. It runs on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. While the global variant will be launched as Android One device, the Chinese variant will be coming with a custom skin on top.

In terms of optics, it will be coming with 13MP dual rear cameras and an 8MP single front camera. It will be backed by a 3,000mAh battery which might come with 5V/2A charging input. The device measures 149.51 × 71.98 × 8.09 mm and weighs 160 grams. There is also a circular fingerprint sensor placed on the rear. The power button and volume rocker are placed on the right edge. It is mentioned to be available in Black, Blue, and White color options.

Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB port. As of now, there is no official confirmation about the device name. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
