Back in July, HMD Global launched Nokia 3.1 Android One smartphone with 2GB of RAM in India. Later the company also launched the Nokia 3.1 with 3GB of RAM along with Nokia 2.1 and Nokia 5.1. The device came with Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. During the launch, the company also announced the complete Nokia portfolio to get the Android 9.0 Pie update. While no exact timeline is mentioned for the Android 9.0 Pie rollout for the Nokia devices, the company is now started rolling out the Android 8.1 Oreo for the Nokia 3.1 smartphones in India.

This new update also includes the security patch update for the month of September. With the Android 8.1 Oreo, the Nokia 3.1 can show the battery percentage of the connected Bluetooth devices. The 1.13GB OTA update also includes a revamped power menu along with new settings menu. The device comes with metal unibody design featuring a 5.2-inch HD+ 18:9 display on the front.

It is powered by a 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6750N octa-core processor. In the camera department, the Nokia 3.1 offers a 13MP camera on the rear with PDAF and an 8MP camera on the front for selfies. While the Nokia 3.1 now received the Android 8.1 Oreo update, the users have to wait at least a couple of months to get the new Android 9.0 Pie update. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
