Earlier this year, Nubia’s gaming smartphone brand Red Magic has launched the Red Magic gaming smartphone with last-gen Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform. While the device came with a competitive price tag, it lacked gaming features as offered by the other brands. While the company is all set to launch the Red Magic smartphone in India, the company has just launched its successor in China.

The new Red Magic gaming smartphone retains the same camouflage design as its predecessor. However, the company now opted for the latest specifications and also added a few gaming-centric features to please mobile gamers. As seen on the original Red Magic, the new device also comes with a single rear camera and fingerprint sensor in hexagonal shapes. There is also large RGB LED strip placed just below the rear-facing fingerprint sensor.

It is listed on JD’s crowdfunding website and has already reached its target. The Red Magic 2 with 10GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage is priced at CNY 3888. While there is no exact information, the users who participated in the funding will receive their device by the end of this year. Just like the Air Triggers on ROG Phone, the new Red Magic phone also comes with touch sensors embedded within the frame.

While playing games, the users can tap on the top corners of the frame to use triggers. The company also added stereo speakers with DTS 7.1 and 3D surround sound support. Nubia is also using dual cooling technology consisting of both air and liquid cooling. As mentioned earlier, the device comes powered by 10nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform and offers up to 256GB of LPDR4X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.1 flash storage.

The Red Magic 2 will be running on Red Magic OS based on the latest Android 9.0 Pie. With the GameBoost, the device performance will be optimized for a better gaming experience. There is also switch placed on the left edge to turn on/off the GameBoost mode. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
