New Never Settle Wallpaper Hints OnePlus 5 to have 1080P Display

OnePlus, the Chinese smartphone manufacturing company launched the OnePlus 3T smartphone a couple of months back, and now it looks like we are about to get something new from them. In a tweet from Evan Blass, we can see a new wallpaper with ‘Never Settle’ slogan and the internet is going crazy about it. What’s so special about it? Well, it is dark, and hence most people are suggesting that it indicates a new smartphone with a dark color or maybe an existing smartphone to get a ‘black’ treatment. Either way, it is exciting to see something new OnePlus since all their products seem to create a lot of buzz.

However, we suggest you hold on to your thoughts since we don’t have any confirmation from the brand itself. However the famous leakster Evan Blass seems to be quite confident about that fact that it is not just a new wallpaper but something more than that. Adding on to the heat, David Ruddock from Android Police also tweeted out to Carl Pei from OnePlus stating about some dark announcement to happen soon. To this, Carl Pei quickly replied with GIF image of wolves howling in the night. Looking at all this, it does appear that we might see a new smartphone from the company which could be the OnePlus 4 or we might just see a new color for an existing smartphone.

Considering the fact that how black is slowly becoming more and more popular again as a smartphone color after the Jet Black iPhone 7 & 7 Plus, we will not be surprised to see a Jet Black or some kind of black variant of the OnePlus 3T as well. However, one thing is for sure is that we are indeed getting something dark from OnePlus and it might just happen very very soon. Talking about a new OnePlus smartphone, we do have some rumors which we can discuss.

The upcoming smartphone from OnePlus could either be called OnePlus 4 or OnePlus 5, and it is expected to bring some major advancements to the table. The number 4 could be very well skipped since it is considered unlucky and hence we won’t be surprised after and all we care about is the device. OnePlus is known for pushing the limits and giving some insane set of specs for a not so premium price point. However, it is expected that this upcoming smartphone from OnePlus could be way more expensive than you think. Rumors have it that we might also see upto 8GB of RAM along with new top of the line SoC from Qualcomm.

And interestingly, the wallpaper has a 1080p resolution, which pretty much indicates that the next smartphone from OnePlus will have a 1080p display. But do make a note that the same wallpaper is also available by default with Android 7.1.1 for OnePlus 3T.
