Who is not aware of Netflix now? Well, everyone does. The American media service provider was launched in India more than three years back in January 2016 with three different plans starting at Rs. 500 every month to Rs. 650 and Rs. 800 plans. Now, according to new news, Netflix is testing a new weekly subscription for Indian users and it is said to be available for a starting price of Rs. 65 per week. This is important for people who keep traveling regularly and do not have to take monthly plans.
Netflix also provided its services in partnership with many other networks provides in India and it is now said to be working on 4 new weekly plans in the country. As of now, the basic plan is a mobile-only plan that will start at Rs. 65 for a week while Rs. 125 every week for the Basic plan for SD only. Furthermore, there will be a 165 per week standard plan for two devices in HD and an Ultra plan of RS. 200 per week for four devices in 4K.
Furthermore, the basic weekly play is a mobile-only plan which will allow watching on 1 screen at a time. This will be offering only SD content of unlimited films and TV programmers and even this plan can be tried before paying for the subscription on your mobile phone or tablet. According to a few reports, Netflix is also said to be testing a mobile-only monthly plan for a starting price of Rs. 250 per month and has similar benefits as the basic weekly plan.
In India, we have other streaming services like Amazon Prime, Hotstar and few others which are priced cheaper than Netflix. The Amazon offers Price Video and Music for Rs. 999 per year while Hotstar offers its VIP subscription for Rs. 365 per year. There is also a premium subscription for Rs. 999 offering Hollywood content. As of now, the new weekly plan is. showing for a few selected users only and should be available for everyone soon.
