Moto Z4 Officially Launched with 6.4″ OLED Display & 48MP Single Rear Camera (Update)

Update — Motorola is already Moto Z4 through its online store in the US for USD 499. Now, the device is made available via Verizon almost with 50% off. The users who sign for a new 2-year contract on Verizon can get the Moto Z4 for just USD 10 per month (its USD 240 for 2 years). With the 5G Moto Mod, the Moto Z4 can also take advantage of Verizon’s 5G service. The existing customers can get a USD 200 discount on the retail price by upgrading to a new plan. As of now, the offer is only available online. Also, the company is currently selling only the Flash Gray variant of the Moto Z4 smartphone.

Earlier (May 30th, 2019) — Last week, the Moto Z4 was accidentally listed on Amazon.com. Even though the listing was then removed, the company has delivered the device to those who ordered it earlier. Finally today, the company has officially launched Moto Z4 in the US market. While the unlocked Moto Z4 is priced at USD 499 (Rs 35,000), Verizon users can get it on contract for USD 240. The device also supports 5G network using the 5G Moto Mod which additionally USD 199. However, the company is offering the Moto 360 camera mod for free with every unit.

The Moto Z4 will be available in Flash Grey and Frost White color options. The device comes with a 6000 series polished aluminum frame and sports 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on the front. It comes with a 6.4-inch OLED FullVision display with Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the device comes powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 Mobile Platform built on 11nm FinFET node.

It packs 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage that can be further expandable using the MicroSD card slot. Talking about the cameras, the Moto Z4 sports a single 48MP camera on the rear with OIS, f/1.7 aperture, PDAF, Laser Autofocus, dual LED flash. For selfies, there is a 25MP camera on the front with f/2.0 aperture. Both the front and rear cameras support features like Cinemagraph, Portrait mode, AI Portrait Lighting, and Spot Color.

The device is backed by a 3,600mAh non-removable battery and supports 15W TurboPower fast charging technology. It also supports wireless charging using a dedicated Moto Mod. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz & 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C port.  The device measures 158 x 75 x 7.35 mm and weighs 165 grams. With the P2i nano-coating, the Moto Z4 is also splash-proof.

Both the power button and volume rocker are placed on the right edge of the device.  Even though the device comes with a single speaker, it sports 3 far-field mic system. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with minimal changes to stock UI. The Moto Z4 also comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner. While the USB Type-C port and 3.5mm audio jack are placed on the bottom edge, the speaker and SIM card slot are moved to the top edge.
