Earlier this year, Motorola launched the Moto G6 and Moto E5 smartphones in Brasil. Earlier this week, the Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play are made available in India. Today, the company also unveiled the long-rumored Moto Z3 Play smartphone. It comes in Deep Indigo color and is priced at R$ 2,299. Motorola is also bundling the Moto Battery Mod for free with the Moto Z3 Play.

The all-new Moto Z3 Play is the successor to Z2 Play and also comes in the similar size to fit the earlier launched mods. While the earlier launched Moto Z devices came with a metal unibody design, the Moto Z3 Play comes with glass back body. The front-facing fingerprint sensor is now moved to the right edge. It still supports the ‘One Button Nav’ gestures.

Talking about the specifications, the Moto Z3 Play sports a 6-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Under the hood is the 14nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 Mobile Platform coupled with Adreno 509 GPU and 4GB of RAM. It comes in 32GB & 64GB storage options and includes a MicroSD card for further expansion of storage.

In the near future, the company will also release the 6GB RAM variant with 128GB of internal storage. In terms of optics, there are dual cameras on the rear with a 12MP primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture and a 5MP secondary sensor with f/2.2 aperture. On the front, it sports an 8MP camera with f/2.0 aperture for capturing selfies and video calls.

The nano-coating on this device makes it splash proof. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box and includes Moto exclusive feature Moto Display & Moto Actions. The Moto Z3 Play is backed by a 3,000mAh non-removable battery and supports Turbo Charge fast charging technology. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C port.

There is no 3.5mm audio jack on this device. It measures 156.5 x 76.5 x 6.7 mm and weighs 156 grams. As of now, there is no information about the availability of the Moto Z3 Play in the Indian market.
