Back in April, Motorola unveiled the Moto G6, Moto G6 Plus, and Moto G6 Play smartphones. However, the company has launched only the Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play in the Indian market. Now, Moto India has officially confirmed to launch the Moto G6 Play in India on September 10th. From the teaser video, we can confirm the company to launch the Moto G6 Plus with 6GB of RAM. As of now, there is no information regarding the availability or the pricing of this device.
Talking about the specifications, the Moto G6 Plus comes with a 5.9-inch MaxVision display with Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood is the 14nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 Mobile Platform clocked at 2.2GHz and comes coupled with Adreno 508 GPU. Both the 4GB and 6GB RAM variants will be coming with 64GB of internal storage. There will also be a MicroSD card slot for further expansion of storage.
It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box and should receive the Android 9.0 Pie update in the coming months. It is backed by a 3,200mAh non-removable battery that also supports Turbo Charge fast charging technology. The device is also splash proof with the nano-coating on the top. In terms of optics, the Moto G6 Plus sports 12MP + 5MP dual smart cameras on the rear with Dual Autofocus Pixel technology, f/1.7 aperture, and LED Flash.
The camera app comes loaded with spot color, Google Lens, and portrait mode. For selfies, there is an 8MP front-facing camera with LED flash. The device features a rear-facing fingerprint sensor and also supports face unlock feature. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
