Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Tablet Launched for $899 in the US

Microsoft announced not one but two Surface products, after announcing the surprising, Surface Book, the company finally introduced the next iteration, Surface Pro 4. Fitting the new 12.3-inch display on the same 12-inch body of an older model, the new Pro again challenges the laptop and tablets. Therefore, your older Surface Pro 3 accessories are compatible with new Pro 4.

Panos Panay introduced us to many products today, and this was one of the favorites. Mr. Panay reminded world how transformative the Surface Pro line-up has been. There’s a fingerprint reader on the keyboard and Cortana integration as well on the inside. For better audio experience, it packs front facing immersive speakers.

Touting as the world’s thinnest, most powerful Core PC ever, the new hybrid from Microsoft would compete with the likes of Apple iPad Pro, and Google’s Pixel C. The new surface product packs 8-megapixel camera, 40% larger trackpad and a hybrid cooling system to push the heat outcome as low as possible.

Along with the Surface Pro 4, the Redmond giant also introduced all-new Surface Pen as well. Having an eraser on the end of it, the new pen has 1,024 levels of pressure sensitivity. It would magnetically attach to the side of the Hybrid when not in use. The battery on Surface Pen can lasts all year.

Company said they changed everything that you won’t see, by that they meant the design aspects has been changed. Such as there is a 0.4mm-thick Gorilla Glass 4 covering the front. The display is of12.3-inch display packing 5 million pixels with pixel density of 267 PPI. Diagonally the display is of 12.3 inches which makes it similar as Surface Pro 3 in overall size.

Microsoft claims that their new Surface Pro 4 is 50% faster than MacBook Air. The Hybrid packs high-end specifications that even outweigh ultraportable laptops. The storage on Pro 4 goes all the way up to 1TB, which is huge for such compact sized hybrid. While the RAM can go up to 16GB along with Intel 6th generation processor.

The Surface Pro is available for pre-order from company’s website at a starting price of $899. It will go on sale in stores from October 26th.
