Micromax launched a new dual-camera smartphone dubbed Evok Dual Note in India. It comes in 3GB and 4GB RAM variants and the pricing starts at Rs. 9,999. The Evok Dual Note will be available in Gold and Prussian Blue color options and is sold exclusively through Flipkart starting August 22nd. On the sale day of Evok Dual Note, the company will be launching the Canvas Infinity smartphone with 18:9 display. It is one of the very few smartphones to offer metal body and dual camera setup.
Back in March, Micromax launched its first dual camera smartphone called Dual 5. FYI, the Dual 5 is the rebranded Qihoo 360 Q5 launched in China. On the front is a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display with 2.5D curved glass laid on top. Under the hood, the Evok Dual Note is powered by 64-bit MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. It comes coupled with Mali T860 GPU and 3GB/4GB of RAM. There is 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded additionally up to 64GB via a MicroSD card slot.
It runs on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. Talking about the cameras, there is a 13MP + 5MP dual camera setup with PDAF and LED flash. For selfies, there is a 5MP front facing camera along with f/2.0 aperture, 78.4-degree wide-angle lens, and LED flash. Beneath the display is the physical home button with two capacitive navigation buttons on either side of it. The home button also comes with an integrated fingerprint sensor. The smartphone supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G VoLTE for using with the Jio 4G SIM.
It is backed by a 3,000mAh battery that is rated to give up to 11 hours of talk time and lasts up to 260 hours on standby. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB OTG, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C port. There are few launch offers including EMI and exchange offers. The Idea users can get the Rs. 443 worth bundled data offer with 84GB of 4G data and unlimited calling for 3 months.
